Sergio Ramos Described As ‘A Legend’ By Former Teammates
Sergio Ramos has been praised by the teammates he shared the Real Madrid dressing room with. As the centre-back leaves Los Blancos, those he played with have come together to describe him as a club legend.
That was the word that came up time and time again in social media posts from the footballers he played with, those he worked with in 2020/21 as well as some faces from many years ago.
Marcelo, the new captain of Real Madrid, described Ramos as his “captain,” “brother” and “legend”.
“Wish you all the best legend,” said Karim Benzema as he shared a message of his own, in English.
Raphael Varane, who spent so many years as Ramos’ central defensive partner, was another to label him as a “legend”.
“You’re a legend of Real Madrid and of football and I wish you all the best,” was Thibaut Courtois’ message.
Dani Carvajal, meanwhile, shared a photo of the two defenders in training.

“Today you leave your home my friend, but you will always be a legend of Real Madrid,” was the tweet that Ramos’ former captain Iker Casillas opted for.
Sharing a photo of the Sergio Ramos goal that helped Real Madrid win the Decima, Xabi Alonso called Ramos “eternal”.
Finally, Ramos’ last Real Madrid coach also had an Instagram message, with Zinedine Zidane also agreeing that the centre-back is a “legend”, writing the word in all caps.
