Edo PDP Condoles Senator Alimikhena Over Wife’s Death
The Edo State chapter of The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has commiserated with the immediate past senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Senator Francis Alimikhina, over the death of his wife, Lady Monica Alimikhina.
In a statement released in Benin yesterday, the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, described the news of the death of the amiable wife of the Senator as devastating.
The chairman in the statement said, ” The news of the death of the wife of our Distinguished Senator who represented the people of Edo North in the 8th and 9th assemblies, came as a rude shock to the PDP family in Edo State. We are devastated by this sad news of the death of a role model of a wife and mother like Lady Monica Alimikhina.
” She was a source of hope for the women and youth in Edo North and a pillar of support for her husband, Senator Francis Alimikhina during his fruitful years in the National Assembly.
” On behalf of the PDP family in Edo state, I want to send my deepest condolences to our Distinguished Senator, his family and the people of Edo North Senatorial District over the death of this our great icon. I pray that the good Lord grants them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss as I pray for the repose of her gentle soul”.
