MUSWEN Organises Free Cancer Preventive Cervical Screening For Women In Oyo State

About 1000 women will benefit from the two-day free cancer preventive cervical screening of the Muslim Ummah of Southwest Nigeria (MUSWEN) on Saturday and Sunday Aug. 26 and 27, in Ibadan.

 
In a statement by the chairman of the Health Committee of MUSWEN, Prof. Muheez Durosinmi said the event will hold at MUSWEN Head Office, beside Arisekola Mosque, Iwo road Ibadan at  9am.

 

 
He said the President of MUSWEN, Dr Sakariyau Babalola as well as the Executive Secretary, Prof. Daud Noibi will flag off the programme on Saturday.

 
Durosinmi said many medical personnel have been contacted and accepted to be part of the humanitarian programme.
 

He said the beneficiaries are Muslim women from ages 25 to 60 years, as that was the age the disease are common in women.

 

 

The Professor of Medicine pleaded with the affected women to come out and know their status for effective treatment.

 

 

He said the initiative was part of the health programmes of the MUSWEN Health Committee for Muslims in the South West.
