Harry Kane and Son Heung-min fired Tottenham to a much needed 2-0 win over West Brom on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Mourinho would have been desperate to avoid defeat to Sam Allardyce’s Baggies, with him recently having lost back-to-back home matches for the first time in his career, and the Englishman no doubt would have loved to make it three in a row for Spurs.
But after a slow first half, Harry Kane opened the scoring with a fine finish ten minutes after the restart, despite question marks hanging over his match fitness.
That lead was doubled just four minutes later through Son. Lucas Moura, though, was responsible for carving out the chance. The Brazilian drove forward on a one-man mission before slipping his teammate through to finish.
Spurs are seventh and four points off Liverpool in fourth, while West Brom sit second from bottom with the threat of relegation looming.
