After his side’s 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger shared his thoughts on a hypothetical Premier League move for Barcelona, acknowledging that it would make things much tougher.
Given the highly-charged political situation currently unfolding in Catalonia, there was some speculation about where Barcelona could end up playing their football if they were to leave LaLiga.
Wenger was asked about the prospect of them potentially playing in England and what he would do if that was the case.
“I’d try to learn Catalan,” he told reporters.
“If Barcelona want to join the Premier League, it makes things even more difficult for everybody.
“But I don’t think they have gotten as far as that.
“It is interesting and there will be incidents on the sporting side as Barcelona are a highly political club.”
