Just In! 1 Dead As Stolen Car Deliberately Crashes Into 2 Bus Stops In Marseille

A man has been arrested after a person was killed when a car hit two bus stops in separate incidents in Marseille, southern France.
A car hit a shelter in the Croix-Rouge part of the city shortly after 8 am before going on to the Valentine area a few miles away and hitting another bus stop, killing a woman in her 40s.
It is believed the car used in the incident was a Renault Espace that had been reported stolen.
After killing the woman, it is believed the driver then tried to get away on foot where he was arrested.

He was arrested in the Old Port part of Marseille and a police source said they believe it was a deliberate attack.
However, they have not described it as a terrorist incident. The 35-year-old man in police custody is known to police, but not for radicalisation.
A police source added: ‘At the moment we have no information on the motives of this individual.’
The incident comes just days after back-to-back van attacks in Barcelona and the Spanish resort town of Cambrils killed 14 people.
