Gas Explosion Razes Houses, Shops In Ipaja, Lagos

Several shops have been razed to ashes in Alhaji Azeez bus stop, Baruwa Area of Ipaja, Lagos State as a gas station was gutted by fire in the early hours of Thursday.

Source disclosed to worldtopnewsng.com that the fire incident occurred at around Best Roof filling station located along Candos road.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire explosion started from the gas station and extended to the filling station, causing serious damages and loss of lives in the area.

Many of the victims are residents whose houses are in proximity to the gas and filling stations and motorists driving along the Baruwa road to their places of work.

According to eyewitnesses, men of the Lagos State Fire Service, the state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) the police and other security personnel have arrived the scene, and are currently battling to put out the fire as at the time of filing in this report.
