Nadal Deals With Carreno To Set Up 12th Barcelona Open Final

Rafael Nadal has progressed to his 12th career final at the Barcelona Open, beating compatriot Pablo Carreno 6-3, 6-2 in the last four.

The Spaniard has now won 136 out of 157 career meetings with his fellow countrymen, with eight of them coming against Saturday’s opponent.

After Carreno had put up a bit of a fight at the end of the first set, Nadal, who wasn’t at his best, managed to cruise through.

He will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in Sunday’s final in a repeat of the 2018 final in Barcelona.
