The Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Lagos West Senatorial District, Chief Funsho Ologunde could not believe his ears on Saturday, 24 March 2018 when he called to know the result of the bye election to fill the vacancy in Ward B from a party chieftain, Waheed Adigun popularly called Ola Sheu.

Ola Sheu, currently Assistant Treasurer of the party in Agege, rather than rejoice at the party’s victory at the election lamented the fact that APC won.

Thinking that he was talking to his principal, former Chairman of Agege Local Government, Jubreel Abdul Kareem, Ola Sheu lamented on phone, “Chairman (thinking it was Jubreel calling) we have lost oo. Those APC people have beaten us ooo. We lost ooooo”.

Indeed, Chief Ologunde could not believe his ears at this blatant display of anti-party activities. Chief Ologunde was more surprised that earlier in the week, Jubreel, Ola Sheu and others have been invited to ACME road secretariat of the APC to a meeting where they all promised to work for APC victory.

Not only that, Ola Sheu assured a delegation led by the council Chairman, Hon Kola Egunjobi in his house three days before the election that he will work for the APC candidate.

This medium can reveal that this is not the first time that Ola Sheu and others in Jubreel Abdul Kareem’s camp will be involved in ant-party activities. They were involved in similar misdemeanor during the last local government elections in which the APC leadership in Agege LG and Orile Agege Local Council Development Area forwarded petitions on the matter to the state secretariat.

Now Ola Sheu has been caught in the act by Chief Ologunde.

This medium can also report that it is not only Ola Sheu that was involved in the unholy act during the bye election. We can authoritatively confirmed that the duo of Segun Okunuga and Bosun Adigun, acting Secretary and Assistant Youth Leader respectively of the party in Agege were also caught using APC members as Accord Party agents in the election.

Further investigation by this medium revealed that Jubreel Abdul Kareem, an aspirant for the state House of Assembly Agege Constituency 1 wanted to use the bye election as a testing ground for his ambition. Knowing fully well that he may not pick the APC ticket for the election in 2019, plans to defect to Accord Party and contest on the platform of the party.

If Accord Party had won the bye election, I would have used it as a campaign for his alleged popularity but his candidate lost hence the lamentation by Ola Sheu.
