Mesut Ozil has dropped a hint about where his future lies, expressing a desire to play in both Turkey and Major League Soccer.
The Arsenal player has been linked with MLS side DC United, and the German suggested that he could end up there.
“I definitely will [continue playing after leaving Arsenal],” Ozil said on Twitter during a Q&A with fans. “There are two countries I want to play football in before I retire: Turkey and [the] USA.
“If I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce.”
Ozil’s contract at Arsenal expires in the summer, and there are rumours linking him to both countries.
