Just In! Baale Of Shangisha Kidnapped During Land Inspection

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the news making the rounds and first reported by TVC news on the Wednesday, 5th July, 2017 on the alleged abduction of the Baale of Shangisha, Chief Yusuf Ogundare by unknown gunmen.

 

 

Police said at about 1330 hrs, one Mohammed Adams ‘M’ of no1, Mutairu Street Shangisha, reported to the nearby Police Station that at about 1200hrs of the said date, he accompanied his brother, named Yusuf Ogundare ‘M’ the Baale of Shangisha to CMD Guest House, Shangisha, after he was invited on phone by some men who wanted to buy a piece of land.

 

 

He stated further that while taking the men to Shangisha inside the buyer’s Toyota Venza saloon car with unknown registration no, for the inspection of the land, they discovered that the men 3 of them were armed.
 

Subsequently, the hoodlums diverted the journey and on getting to Domino’s Pizza Junction, along the CMD rd, Shangisha, he was dropped by the roadside while his brother was taken away to an unknown destination. Adams said efforts to reach him on phone proved abortive as he made his way to the police station.

 

 

Reporting the incident, Adams said he suspected one Jamiu Lawal of No 5 Lawal street Oregun & Saliu Akanni as the master minders of the act due to the long feud and protracted dispute between the suspects and the Baale of Shangisha on Baale’s title.
 

Investigation has commenced and effort is being made to arrest those mentioned while tracking of other hoodlums has been initiated.

 

 

The command’s PPRO an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the abduction to worldtopnewsng.com, he enjoined residents and members of the public to give police intelligent information on how to rescue Chief Ogundare “Baale of Shangisha, Chief Yusuf Ogundare was truly kidnapped by unknown gunmen, we would like to state and advice members of the public to come forward with any intelligent information that may lead to the rescue and insight to the alleged abduction.
