Former model Kathryn Mayorga, who accused Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her in Las Vegas, is reportedly claiming 65 million in damages.

The incident allegedly took place back in 2009 in a Las Vegas penthouse after Mayorga and Ronaldo met at a nightclub.

According to the Daily Mirror, court documents indicate that the former model claims around 41.5m euros for “past and future pain and suffering” and around 20.5m for “punitive damages”.

Charges were withdrawn back in 2010 after Mayorga accepted a settlement sum of 375,000 dollars.

However, three years ago Mayorga filed a civil lawsuit in Las Vegas, stating that the charges had not been dropped and that when she accepted the agreement she was still traumatised by the alleged sexual assault.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has denied the events that allegedly took place in Las Vegas on more than one occasions.

“I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me, as rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in,” the Portugal international wrote on Twitter back in 2018.

“Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.”
