Napoli Halt Inter’s Winning Run

Inter’s 11-match winning run came to an end on Sunday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The hosts took the lead in comical fashion, with Samir Handanovic spilling the ball into his own net from Lorenzo Insigne’s cross.

Antonio Conte’s side drew level in the second half, though, as Christian Eriksen struck the ball firmly past Alex Meret.

In the end, the points were shared, with Inter moving nine points clear of second-placed AC Milan in the Serie A table. Napoli climb to within two points of fourth-placed Juventus.
