Future Real Madrid signing Vinicius Junior is hoping to one day line up alongside his idol Neymar – in the white of the current Champions League holders.
The Flamengo striker agreed a £39 million switch to the Santiago Bernabeu in July 2017.
At just 17, however, Vinicius will only be able to complete the deal after the World Cup in July, when he will turn 18 and be cleared to move overseas – while the prospect of a loan that keeps him at Flamengo for a further year is also possible.
And while Neymar is currently recovering from an injury at Paris Saint-Germain, the youngster would love to see him bolster Madrid’s Brazilian contingent in the near future.
“If God wants, Neymar and I will play together at Real Madrid,” Vinicius explained to the Guardian.
“I would definitely be in favour of him moving to Madrid because it would be my big dream to play in the same side as Neymar.
“He is my idol in football. If had a chance to play with him, I would feel very happy.”
