Leicester City and Manchester United got the Premier League’s Boxing Day action up and running on Saturday, with the two top four hopefuls playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

It was a different kind of Boxing Day with no fans in the stands, but Marcus Rashford gave the Manchester United supporters watching on from home something to cheer about when he opened the scoring in 23rd minute.

Leicester, though, hit straight back and Harvey Barnes equalised eight minutes later after the Foxes pressed their guests well and won the ball back deep into their half.

In the second half, Rashford had the ball in the net again, but it was ruled out for offside. Bruno Fernandes, though, did manage to stay onside as he received a defence-splitting pass from Edinson Cavani and as he beat Kasper Schmeichel.

Jamie ‘Grinch’ Vardy popped up with five minutes to go, though, to ruin Manchester United’s Christmas and to steal a point for his team. The English striker reached back to collect a ball that was rolling just behind him and managed to turn it in off Axel Tuanzebe.
