Messi and Ronaldinho: Emotional Reunion In Paris
Lionel Messi saw a familiar face pitchside as he was warming up ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League group-stage match against RB Leipzig on Tuesday night, and his happiness in embracing former teammate Ronaldinho was clear for all to see.
The Brazilian, of course, also played for the French club before joining Barcelona, where he would witness Messi making his professional debut before sharing a dressing room with him for three-and-a-half years.
As well as combining on the pitch, the pair also got along famously well off of it as well. Barcelona fans will also have many fond memories of seeing the two together.
Ronaldinho was in Paris to watch his former club as a guest of honour and appeared to be enjoying the occasion.
“A guest of honour, an artist, a football genius. Our legend, Ronaldinho, will be at the Parc de Princes for the match against RB Leipzig [on Tueday],” read a statement on the official PSG Twitter account earlier this week.
