Lagos APC-ICC Publicity Directorate Sensitizes Voters On Voting Process; Distributes Food Items

An enlightenment and sensitization programme was today organized for residents of the Magodo Community by the Publicity Directorate of the Independent Campaign Council, ICC, Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC).

The programme which centred on voter education also featured the distribution of food items to cushion the effects of the cash crunch which is biting hard in the country.

Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Director of Publicity Directorate, ICC, Mrs Funke Moore reminded the residents of the need to exercise their franchise and ensure that only the right people are voted into office so as to bring about renewed Hope for a better Nigeria.

She noted that Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections are very crucial in the life of the nation as it would afford Nigerians the opportunity to elect a new President who would put an end to suffering and hardship being experienced by majority of Nigerians.

Mrs Moore used the opportunity to canvass for the APC because according to her, the candidates being fielded by the party were men and women of integrity who had the nation’s interests at heart.

She advised voters to locate their polling booths at least 24hrs before Saturday’s election and to get there as early as 8am for accreditation.

Speaking in Yoruba she spoke extensively on the conduct of voters on the day of the election.

She advised them to use their index finger to vote within the box provided ensuring that the line is not smudged with ink.

Also speaking at the event, an Assistant Director in the Directorate, Mrs Toyin Bamisaye-Oni, applauded the gathering for being conscious of their social responsibility by registering to vote.

 

Bamisaye-Oni enjoined them to enlighten others who were not present on the best way to vote in the election.

Earlier in his address of welcome, Alhaji Hakeem Osho, an APC leader in Ward A called on party supporters to troop out and vote for the party.

Osho commended the ICC for being at the forefront of the Asiwaju/Sanwoolu campaign.

Other leaders in the ward including Alhaji Alani Olonade also witnessed the occasion.
