Tomas Soucek scored the first Premier League of 2021, with his late strike earning West Ham a 1-0 win away at Everton on Friday.
Everton’s run of four wins in a row has been halted by David Moyes’ side, with the former Toffees boss enjoying a win in the first fixture of the new year.
After a quiet first half from both sides, West Ham really stepped it up in the second half.

Even though James Rodriguez was brought on in the 64th minute to make his return from injury, it was the Hammers who finished the game the strongest and an Aaron Cresswell shot deflected off Yerry Mina and towards Soucek for the game’s only goal.
West Ham move towards the European places with this three-point haul, while Everton sit fourth for now.
