Real Madrid Close The Door On Transfers

There will be no signings. The leaders of Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane have made that very clear.

The coach does not think it necessary to bring any more players into his current squad, something he has said in public and has reiterated to those inside the club, including president Florentino Perez.

In agreement with the club, Zidane wants to maintain the order he currently has, without introducing new elements (in particular a new pay scale – Mbappe) that could distort the team’s daily routine.

Anything that could jeopardise his perfect tenure so far has been discarded.

The idea is that, just like last season, the coach believes that all the players who are currently in the squad will have minutes and that he has quality and quantity sufficient to resolve every eventuality.

Like the one that arose before Valencia with the absence of three central defenders; Ramos, Varane and Vallejo.

The game against Marcelino’s team has left some doubts with Bale, Benzema and central defence being an issue.

The first two have all the confidence of the club and as for the second circumstance, Zidane maintains that it is not normal for up to three players from the same position to be out at the same time.

His team isn’t weakened and there is also no need to sign a No.9.

Borja Mayoral, Mariano’s replacement, has been told he will get minutes and Zidane has no doubt about the ability of his team to score goals, despite the many chances that went begging against Valencia.

As long as the team maintain it’s offensive way of playing the goals will come via Bale, Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marco Asensio.
