PSG Still Angry Over Refereeing Decisions During Real Madrid Clash

Despite easing past Strasbourg on Saturday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain continue to rant over the refereeing decisions made in their 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Gianluca Rocchi has been widely criticised by Unai Emery in the wake of the defeat, with the Spanish coach feeling that the Italian repeatedly gave decisions in favour of Los Blancos.

In a report published by L’Equipe on Saturday, it’s emerged that PSG have written a formal complaint to UEFA over Rocchi’s performance and have requested that Adrien Rabiot’s yellow card is rescinded.

The caution was shown for an apparent collision with Luka Modric, although replays would later show that the Croatian dived to the ground without contact.

As well as the written report, several of the Parisian club’s stars have also voiced their discontent with the officiating.

“Rabiot took a yellow card even after Modric told the referee there wasn’t a foul,” Marco Verratti explained in an interview with Actu Foot.
