Diego Costa Closing In On Milan Loan Until January

Spread the love

Diego Costa’s limbo at Stamford Bridge appears to be nearing a conclusion with reports claiming the Spain forward is close to agreeing a deal that will see him line up for AC Milan until next January.

The Chelsea striker is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte having informed him earlier in the summer that he is not in his plans and Costa is clear that he only has one destination in mind for a permanent move: Atlético Madrid.

However, the Liga club’s transfer ban means that Costa will have to wait until 2018 to complete a move back to his former side.

The Stamford Bridge board are eager to get Costa off the wage bill and the player does not want to spend six months in dry dock with the World Cup in Russia less than 12 months away, leaving both parties requiring a solution before the current window closes.

Milan have emerged as a suitor willing to give Costa a temporary home as the Serie A side continue to rebuild under new ownership.
