Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League thanks to goals fromPedro Rodriguez and Willian either side of Newcastle’s equaliser.
After their disappointing goalless draw with Southampton in their last Premier League outing, it was important for Maurizio Sarri‘s side to get three points on the board.
They got off to a perfect start as David Luiz‘s superb lofted pass was subtly executed by Spanish international Pedro with a sumptuous lob.
Newcastle stunned Stamford Bridge just before the break, however, as Ciaran Clark headed into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.
Willian, who has recently been linked with a move to Barcelona, scored the winner for the Blues three minutes shy of the hour mark from an Eden Hazard assist.
Chelsea, currently in fourth position in the table, move six points clear of nearest rivals Arsenal, who lost to West Ham United earlier in the day by a single goal.
