IGP Adamu Orders Investigation Into Viral Video Of Officer Dehumanising Lady

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has ordered discreet investigations into circumstances surrounding the dehumanising treatment meted out to a lady by a policeman in a viral video.

In the 2- minute 20-second video, a young girl is seen handcuffed and lying on the floor as the policeman, who seems to be recording the video, commands her to stand up.

“Stand up, stand up. I go daze you o,” he said in pidgin as the video starts.

“Face me, face me. If you cover your face tire. CCTV go carry you. TV go carry you. All the stations go carry you. Stand up,” the policeman demanded.
