Montpellier were no match for a rampant Paris Saint Germain side, who battered their opponents 4-0.

The visitors hadn’t lost since December 16 and had won five of their last seven games in all competitions, but PSG steamrollered them from the first whistle.

With a goal from Cavani, a double from Neymar and another from Di Maria, Unai Emery’s team continue in confident mood as they look forward to facing Real Madrid.

On 11 minutes there was cause for celebration as Cavani overcame Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become the all-time top scorer at the club, tucking away his 157th goal with aplomb.

With that, El Matador already has 21 in the current league competition.

Before the break, Neymar scored a penalty to put PSG 2-0 up.

With Mbappe and Alves out because of injury and suspension respectively, and Lass Diarra unable to play, Di Maraa came in and scored again, whilst Neymar made it 4-0 before the end with his 17th in the French top flight.
