Zidane Says Real Madrid Won’t Risk Kroos or Hazard Against Eibar

Zinedine Zidane has erred on the side of caution by opting not to include Eden Hazard in Real Madrid’s squad list for their match at home to Eibar on Saturday afternoon, but Toni Kroos has returned after recovering from an adductor issue.

Both players trained with the group on Friday morning, but the Real Madrid boss made clear during his press conference that he will not take any risks with Hazard, especially ahead of a week in which Los Blancos face Liverpool (April 7) and Barcelona (April 10).

“We don’t have a plan with Hazard,” Zidane said.

Real Madrid’s squad list to face Eibar is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin, Diego Altube.

Defenders: Eder Militao, Raphael Varane, Nacho Fernandez, Marcelo, Alvaro Odriozola, Ferland Mendy.

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Isco, Sergio Arribas.

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Junior, Mariano Diaz, Rodrygo Goes.
