No Need For James Rodriguez As Everton Beat Chelsea

Spread the love

Chelsea suffered their first defeat in the Premier League since September as they were beaten 1-0 by Everton at Goodison Park.

A crowd of 2,000 home supporters – allowed into the stadium for the first time since March – saw Carlo Ancelotti’s side take the lead from the penalty spot in the first half.

Edouard Mendy brought down Dominic Calvert-Lewin inside the area before being sent the wrong way by Gylfi Sigurdsson from 12 yards.

The visitors hit the post through Reece James and Mason Mount over the course of the evening as they were unable to return to the top of the Premier League table.

As for Everton, they’ve ended a disappointing run of recent form, even in the absence of the injured James Rodriguez.
