Serge Gnabry scored a first half brace and Robert Lewandowski netted one of his own late into the game to give Bayern Munich a 3-0 victory over Lyon to reach the Champions League final.

Lyon started off better and missed a huge chance with Memphis Depay to break the deadlock when the Dutchman sent the ball just wide.

Then, it was Karl Ekambi who came close to opening the scoring, but his effort bounced off Manuel Neuer’s right post.

Bayern Munich were the team to break the deadlock against the run of play with Gnabry who beat Anthony Lopes after a spectacular individual run.

The German forward netted his second after the half hour mark after collecting the box inside the box and sending it into the back of the net following a good team move.

After the break, Ivan Perisic squandered a big chance to score his team’s third and put the game to bed.

Ekambi could have got Lyon back to the game just before the hour mark but Neuer beat his on a one-on-one situation.

Lewandowski headed home late into the second half after a Joshua Kimmich set piece to wrap up the victory for the Bavarians.

Bayern will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final which is set to take place on Sunday at 21:00 CEST at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon.
