Daniele Orsato Will Referee The Champions League Final

Daniele Orsato will be in charge of the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

 

Lorenzo Manganelli and Alessandro Giallatini will be his assistants, with Ovidiu Haegan as the fourth official.

“The 44-year-old Italian, an international referee since 2010, will be taking charge of his first major UEFA final, having been entrusted with officiating at eight matches in the UEFA Champions League this season, including Real Madrid’s round of 16 first leg against Manchester City in February,” read UEFA’s statement.

Orsato has also refereed a Europa League quarter-final this season and was the fourth official in the 2019 final between Chelsea and Arsenal.

The VAR team for the final in Lisbon will consist of Massimiliano Irrati (Italy), Marco Guida (Italy), Roberto Diaz Perez del Palomar (Spain) and Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez (Spain).
