Sevilla Go Second With Win At Eibar

Spread the love

Pablo Machin’s Sevilla side followed up their fantastic midweek win over Real Madrid with an accomplished performance at the Estadio Ipurua, and came away with a deserved 3-1 win over Eibar.

The hosts had managed to keep the Andalusians at arms length for the first-half, but within two minutes of the restart, Andre Silva opened the scoring.

Before the hour mark, Ever Banega had coolly dispatched a penalty to double the visitors’ lead, and he added a third deep into the nine minutes of injury time.

The Basque side offered nothing in response, apart from a 100th minute consolation through Joan Jordan, and in truth were well beaten.
