KADPOLY Governing Council Chair, Dr Oluwakemi Pinheiro Donates Lifetime Salary To Vulnerable Students

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Kaduna State Polytechnic, Dr. Oluwakemi Pinheiro, OFR, has generously chosen to contribute his entire salary for life to assist less privileged indigent students of the institution.

In a letter dated September 9th, 2024, which was sent to the Rector of the institution, Dr. Suleiman Umar, he stated his dedication to ensuring that all his salary as a result of his position will be used to support the vulnerable indigent students.

Dr. Oluwakemi who is also a sitting legislator on behalf of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) emphasized that he will not accept any sitting or other allowances during his time as the leader of the institution.

Moreover, he has asked the institution to ensure that the funds are appropriately directed and requested evidence of disbursement to be provided to his office.

 

Here’s the full statement:

“This correspondence serves to confirm to you that allowances for sitting or however, due to me as a Chairman of the 8th Governing Council during my tenure should be utilized for the payment of admission fees or support for the academic fee of any indigent students in my name, and evidence of these payment forwarded to me for my records.”

“For the records, I humbly state that, I shall not personally collect sitting or allowances during my tenure”.

“While thanking you for your understanding and the exemplary work you do for our great institution, please be assured of my regards and best wishes”.
