Hauz of Elnathan Initiative (HEI) a leading Non-government Organization campaigning against drugs and substance abuse has admonished Deltans and Nigerians to obey government regulations aimed at containing the spread of the no Coronavirus pandemic presently ravaging the world including Nigeria.
The NGO in a statement signed by it’s head of public affairs, Comrade Fejiro A. Richard, said although the lockdown is frustrating and economically distabilizing, it is the best decision for the government to take at the moment.
“As we all know, the 14 days lockdown has been extended for another 14 days and this time around with a dusk to dawn curfew. We can feel the pains and frustration of Nigerians as a great number of our people live on daily and weekly income. We share in your pains and pray that in no distance time like should return to normal.
“We are adding our voices to those of the Federal and state governments to appeal to our people to be calm and obey government lockdown regulations. By this, we will be complimenting efforts of the governments and international organisation”, the statement reads.
“We must also be fervent in our prayers as God is the ultimate healer. This pandemic will disappear very soon but until then, let us do our part to ensure that we contain the spread”, they submitted.
