Koko PDP Leaders Endorse Maku For 2nd Tenure

Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government election in Delta State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) elders and leaders of Warri North LGA, yesterday endorsed current chairman of Warri North LGA, Francis Eyituoyor-Maku for a 2nd tenure, bringing to an end speculations as to who will fly the party’s ticket during the council election in the area.

 

 

At the occasion, Mr Maku-Eyituoyor, who formally presented his score card to the people, at the palace of the Olara-Aja (Most senior) of the community Chief Victor Nana, appreciated their gesture, promising to “work better than ever before if re-elected as the next council chairman.”

 

 

The Olare-aja assured him of the community’s readiness to cast their vote for him, noting that, “Since Chief Francis Maku’s first tenure Warri North Local Government has recorded a better atmospher in history,” praying for God’s guidance for him.

 

 

Speaking further, an elder, Pa.H.U Etete said “Chief Francis Eyituoyor Maku emergence as our party candidate is ‘a round peg in a round hole’ because he is a peaceful and humble man doing well for the people in-spite of the current economic situation in the country.”

Chairman of Koko Community Management Authority (KCMA), Engr.David Oniyeburuthan, said Maku-Eyituoyor was among the few council chairmen in the state not owing staffers salary because of his commitment to human capital development.

 

 

Also, speaking on behalf of the Ijaw community Comr. Eric Ajagidi said the choice of Chief Maku is unanimous from all the ijaw community because he is a grassroots man and a man of the people.
