Urban Meets Traditional In Major Lazer’s ’All My Life’ Video Featuring Burna Boy
Burna Boy has gone above and beyond to give us excellent music this year and shows no intention of slowing down soon. Adding to his list of releases, the Afro-fusion artiste features in Major Lazer’s new single ‘All My Life’.
The single is as thrilling as it was unexpected and definitely adds another notch to Burna’s belt of cultural appreciation. Borrowing from the Afrobeats rhythm, globally renowned electronic dance music trio Major Lazer provide a tune that’s an exciting mix of both genres. As Burna sings “I’ve been waiting all my life for this type of vibe”, you realize you’ve been waiting for it too.
The video, directed by South African filmmaker Adriaan Louw, is a highly appreciated bonus. Just like the tune, it’s a celebration of traditional and urban culture, and we see both sky rises and rural areas as several people celebrate through dance.
