The Edo State Government has urged traders in the state to take advantage of the Edo Health Insurance Scheme (EDOHIS), to access quality and affordable healthcare services to avoid out-of-pocket spending for their healthcare needs.

Addressing traders during a sensitization programme, in Idogbo, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, the Director-General, Edo State Health Insurance Commission, Dr. Rock Amegor, said the scheme will assist traders in accessing quality and affordable healthcare.

“The scheme will also provide low-income earners quality and affordable healthcare services irrespective of their social class,” Amegor added.

A trader, Mrs. Esther Uyinosa, expressed appreciation to the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration for introducing the Edo Health Insurance Scheme to respond to the health needs of low-income earners.
