🔰 Kei Nishikori 🆚 Roberto Bautista Agut

Roberto Bautista Agut defeated Kei Nishikori 6-4, 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-3. Nishikori has never performed well in Wimbledon and Agut ended his run in four sets.

 

 

Nishikori attempted to be more aggressive but Agut did not allow Nishikori to dictate any points. Nishikori still managed to stay in the game but made 48 unforced errors to Agut’s 29. Agut faces Cilic in the next round.

 

 

🔰 Rafael Nadal 🆚 Karen Khachanov

Rafael Nadal defeated Karen Khachanov 6-1, 6-4, 7-6(3) to reach round four. Nadal put on a dominating performance and looked very strong on grass surprisingly.

 

 

Nadal won the first 2 sets convincingly but he was pushed in the third set. He saved three break points and won the tiebreak easily. He is looking to be at his very best.

 

 

🔰 Andy Murray 🆚 Fabio Fognini

Andy Murray defeated Fabio Fognini 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. In an intense match on center court, Andy Murray pulled out a very close win over Fabio Fognini.

 

 

After losing the first set badly, Fognini fought back and won the second set. The third set was filled with a lot of drama and Murray benefited from Fognini’s tweaked angle. Fognini fought back and was up 5-2 in the fourth set when Murray won 5 games in a row to finish the match

 

 

🔰 Shuai Peng 🆚 Simona Halep

Simona Halep defeated Shuai Peng 6-4, 7-6(7). She won off a break in the first set but could not break Shuai in the second set.

 

 

Under the guidance of coach Darren Cahill, she pulled out the second set tiebreak to win the match. Halep faces Victoria Azarenka in the next round.
