The relationship between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba is getting worse and the Manchester United boss is growing increasingly frustrated with his star midfielder.
Pogba spoke cryptically after captaining United in their opening day Premier League win over Leicester City.
“There are things that I cannot say because I will be fined,” he said.
According to The Sun, the Portuguese has spoken with Pogba about his remarks and told him that if he wants to leave the club then he should request a transfer.
Mourinho was furious when he heard the player’s comments, and told Pogba not to speak in the press about problems but rather to come to him directly.
The French midfielder wants to leave the English club, but he also is keen to avoid going to war with them, so a solution is being sought.
Barcelona are interested in the player but would not be able to pay the fee that would be required to lure the midfielder away from Old Trafford.
