US-Detained Nigerian: Dabiri-Erewa Debunks Online Publication, Says No Petition Received So Far

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has debunked an online publication entitled “Family of US detained Nigerian man cries out, seeks FG’s intervention“, as complete false as no correspondence was received in her office with respect to the issue.

Dabiri-Erewa in a statement made available to worldtopnewsng.com by her media aide, Abdur-Rahman Balogun stated they nothing of such report was found in her records and there is no such letter ever received in her office as the commission has not even been set up as at the time the said petition was reportedly submitted.

She explained further that, all the line of communication is opened for any public complaints which she respond to as soon as practicable.

She said: “The complainant or any other aggrieved Nigerian is advised to officially channel the communication to the Secretary or Secretariat of the Nigerians in Diaspora  Commission as we cannot treat such issue based on online report.”
