UNIFEMGA Proffers Solution To Recession At National Reunion

Lagos, May 3, 2017:  Members of Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association (UNIFEMGA) will on Friday May 5, storm their Alma mata at Ile-Ife, Osun state to offer solutions to the economic recession in the country.
 
In a statement by the Chairman Planning Committee of the 2017 National Reunion, Luqman Obileye and Mohammed Buari, National Public Relations Officer, stated that the three- day programme would hold at the campus.
 
The statement added that the reunion which has as its theme “Beyond Recession: Imperatives for National Growth and Development’’ has as the Guest Speaker, Alhaji Ismail Aderemi Bello, FCA (MD/CEO of Crittall-Hope Nigeria Limited and immediate Past Chairman of Lagos Chamber of Commerce).
 
It added that Alhaji Sulaiman Abdulmajeed, Senior Vice President, Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) would chair the occasion on Saturday with the acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Anthony Elujoba as the Special Guest of Honour.
 
UNIFEMGA said that the uniqueness of the 2017 national reunion was the inclusion of a workshop on Friday in collaboration with the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies (IFEDS) and Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife  on Research and Paper Writing for academics and researchers in Nigerian Universities and Research Institutes.
 
Similarly, the statement added that there would be another workshop on opportunities in Agricultural sector in partnership with Starlink Global and Ideal Limited on Friday with Special Jumah service and a welcome reception for all the delegates.
 
UNIFEMGA stressed that there would  also be scholarship grant and an empowerment programme for students on campus to be facilitated by renowned resource persons and a courtesy call on the university management led by Alhaji Waheed Odeyimka, the National President of  UNIFEMGA.
 
Other highlights of the three day national reunion conference include participation in the wedding ceremony of the son of the Chief Imam of OAU Central Mosque, Prof. Abubakr Sanusi, novelty match among the branches and a Press Conference on Sunday.
 
Over 250 delegates from all the branches including those in the diaspora have already registered to participate in the 2017 National reunion Conference.
