Tottenham Take Control As Dortmund Collapse Late On

Alate flurry has allowed Tottenham to dream of the Champions League quarter-finals as they beat Borussia Dortmund 3-0 at Wembley, scoring twice in the last ten minutes.

Son Heung-Min gave them the lead shortly after the second half got underway. Christian Eriksen intercepted an Achraf Hakimi pass and played it to Jan Vertonghen who whipped a cross to Son, allowing the Korean to score a stunning volley.

Spurs took control in the 83rd minute as the Belgian defender got amongst the goals himself. Serge Aurier’s deep cross was met by Vertonghen to double their lead.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s side still had time to tighten their grip further and did so just three minutes later as they took advantage of another cross. This time it was substitute Fernando Llorente who was on the end of an Eriksen ball to head home the third and put Spurs in control of the tie.
