Celtic are expected to acquire the services of Timothy Weah, the son of the legendary striker and current president of Liberia George Weah.

The 18-year-old has been at Paris Saint-Germain, but hasn’t featured much for Thomas Tuchel and has announced he’ll leave the French capital in January.

He signed a new contract last summer until 2020, but stated on Instagram that he is moving on in January.

“I thank my followers for their constant support and I also thank my coaches and teammates for helping me feel part of this family,” he wrote.

“These months have been helpful even if I haven’t played a lot.

“I’ll miss the stadium and the energy you all bring each match.”

The USA international didn’t specify where he’d be moving to, but RMC Sport have reported that he will join Scottish champions Celtic.
