Spread the love

Four of the group of boys trapped inside a cave in northern Thailand for two weeks have been been brought out, officials say.

Rescuers decided to go ahead with the hazardous operation on Sunday because of fears of rising waters.

Divers are guiding the 12 boys and their coach through darkness and submerged passageways towards the mouth of the Tham Luang cave system.

Four boys are now reported to be above ground. But the operation chief, Narongsak Osottanakorn, says four out of the 12 boys have so far been rescued and were taken straight to hospital.

The boys travelled 1km underwater with the first coming out at 5:40pm local time.

Apparently, rescuers now need 10 hours to prepare for the next stage of this remarkable operation.
