Ronaldo Eyes Record That Would Place Him Above Messi

Comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will continue forever and a day, yet for the moment the Portuguese forward is eyeing a record that would actually place him above his Argentine rival.

Following his haul of eight goals in his last three matches in the competition, Ronaldo is now seriously in the running for this season’s award as he sits on 10 goals with only Messi ahead of him by one.

There is significant intrigue surrounding the former Manchester United forward this season as Zinedine Zidane has looked to manage his fitness.
