Police Arrests 28 Traffic Robbery Suspects In Lagos

Lagos State Police Command through it Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested traffic robbers in the state.

The SARS through intelligence report and surveillance arrested twenty eight (28) hoodlums who attacked motorists in traffic gridlock caused by the ongoing construction at around 7am (WAT) on Friday, 10th November, 2017.

The acting Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgal Imohimi has called on members of the public who have been victims of traffic robbers in this area to compassionately visit the state SARS office Ikeja to help in identifying some of the arrested suspects.

Confirming the development, the command spokesperson, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole during phone conversation with worldtopnewsng.com said “I can affirm to you that our men at the SARS has captured 20 activity theft suspects around Oshodi.”

“We approach all victims of traffic robbery around Oshodi environ to visit our Command for identification of these suspects”.

The arrested suspects will be charged to court on Monday, 13th November, 2017 according to Famous-Cole.

Famous-Cole expressed further that the CP has promised people of Lagos that the command will do all it takes to locate criminal hideouts and arrest more suspected traffic robbers to ease the free movement of Lagosians, and ensure Lagosians feel safe to go about their daily activities especially as the Yuletide period is fast approaching.
