PDP BoT Condemns Restriction Of Wike, Others Movement

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sen. Walid Jibrin, has described the siege on the hotel accommodating the party’s National Campaign Council, in Benin, as “very unfortunate.”

Jibrin said this in Abuja, on Saturday in response to reports that the hotel providing accommodation for PDP National campaign council was under siege by security agents and that members of the council were being pressured to leave Benin.

He said “The rule must be one and not selective leaving only APC Governors to be moving very freely. Therefore, Governor Nyesom Wike being the PDP National campaign chairman and all his committee members must be left alone and free to remain in Benin until the end of the election.

“I enjoin all voters to be peaceful and abide by the rules and regulations of INEC the PDP will like to see free, fair and transparent election conducted in Edo state No fighting no killings and destruction of properties.”
