Pakistan’s cricketer-politician Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly.

Though Imran Khan’s party has established a huge lead, it is still short of the majority mark of 137 and may have to look for allies among the smaller parties and independents.

Khan, in a speech made in Bani Gala that was broadcast via video link, said he was thankful to have finally been given the chance to implement the manifesto he dreamed up 22 years ago.
