#NigeriaDecides2019: INEC Announces Northwest States Election Results

INEC has declared incumbent Governor Atiku Bagudu of the APC winner of the governorship election in Kebbi State.

 

In Kigawa State, the APC candidate, an incumbent governor, Muhammad Badaru, won the governorship election in the state.

 

The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, won the governorship poll in all the 34 LGAs of the state announced by INEC. Masari contested under the platform of the APC.

 

In Sokoto State the poll has been declared inconclusive. INEC said it declared it inconclusive following a slim margin of win, less than number of cancelled votes.

 

Of the governorship result announced in 11 out of the 23 Local Government Areas in Kaduna State, the APC won in seven with a total of 359,757 votes while the PDP won in four Local Government Areas, with a total of 309, 330 votes.

 

Opposition PDP Abba Kabir Yusuf has taken the lead in Kano State. From 43 out of the 44 LGAs in the state PDP polled 951,531 votes as against APC’s 935,451 votes.

 

Thus, PDP is leading with a margin of 16,080 votes in the state.

 

The APC has won 10 local government areas so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Zamfara State.

 

APC is leading with 356,971, followed by the People Democratic Party (PDP) which scored 131,710 votes.
