In a bid to bring positive transformation and development to the country, National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) in collaboration with theDawah Institute of Nigeria, Islamic education Trust have trained leaders from 20 Islamic organisations at the weekend.
The training which was effected in Akure, Ondo state has membership participation drawn across the 18local government areas of the state.
A representative of the Dawah Institute of Nigeria, Islamic education Trust Director, South West, Dr. Adeokunbo Abdulsalam said the training was design for managing of Islamic organisations to enhance their capacity in how to handle interpersonal communication conflict resolution.
He said it is also to increase their capacity on how to improve the management of their organisations.
Abdulsalam who spoke with The Hope observed that people were ready to learn new scheme and new ways of managing projects that will bring development and transformation in their society.
The General Secretary to the Leaque of Imams and Alfas South West, Edo and Delta Alhaji Ahmed Olagike Aladesawe described both leaders and followers in Nigeria has being bad which he attributed as the ban of development in the country.
This he said lead to the various killings in the country which is making God to be annoyed with the people.
He said people should turn back to God for redemption to safe the country from what it is presently going through.
He urged the newly trained Islamic leaders to carry replicate what they have been thought to their various states and local government areas.
In a chat with the state Co ordinator of NACOMYO, who is also the national auditor, Alhaji Abdul Yekini All said God had encouraged Muslims to seek for knowledge to solve many problems.
“Nigeria is so diverse, in terms of social, economic and security issues. We have to find solutions to that will encourage people to fully belong to Nigeria like issue of tribalism. Religious leaders have leverage because they are the grassroots people that know what they need and in talking to to the people which will help consolidify any gap”, he declared.
He urged Nigerians to reorientated themselves, to know why they are Nigerians so that they can contribute meaningfully to the development of the country which is compulsory for every citizenry.
