Medical Expert Advises Nigerians On Measures To Curb COVID-19 Pandemic

A medical expert and an illustrious son of Ekiti state, Dr Makanjuola Akindele Owolabi popularly called Dr MAO has appealed to his people in Ekiti State just as he has done to other Nigerians and humanity worldwide to strictly obey and adhere to the directives given by World Health Organization, WHO which is aimed at curbing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.

Dr Akindele Owolabi in a statement made available to newsmen, advised people of the state to ensure regular handwashing with soap and clean water, covering of the nose and mouth with the elbow while sneezing or coughing or with the use of a tissue or handkerchief which must be immediately & well disposed of as well as maintain the social distancing directives.
He stated that for now, there is no known cure for this disease except preventative measures.

The medical expert who is a globally recognised aviation consultant equally called on the people to stay at home for this two weeks prescribed saying that it is for our collective safety and that it is better to stay at home and be alive than to disobey or be careless and end up in the grave forever due to the effects of COVID-19.

Dr Akindele Owolabi, therefore, is appealing to the entire people of Ekiti state to see all these precautionary measures put in place as means of protecting them and everyone from the deadly Virus and not as a punishment or to inflict hardship on anyone as we are all in this together. COVID-19 is not a-respecter of anyone whether you are poor or rich! It is that serious!

The medical expert also warns that the COVID-19 is easily spread like a bushfire in dry season if these measures are not keenly followed.

He said that this is not the time to visit one another, attend parties or crowding of any kind at this perilous time.

He said that he prays that our people would see this as a time to be our brothers’ keeper because God has used this to show us that what affects one affects all. Keep yourself safe & help to keep the Nation safe.   Stay at home & isolate as much as possible. God bless us all as we do our part.
