The list of prestigious clubs Xherdan Shaqiri has represented continues to grow after the winger joined Liverpool on Friday.

Impressive performances at the World Cup raised the Swiss forward’s profile following relegation from the Premier League with Stoke City.

And the Reds moved quickly to secure Shaqiri’s services for a fee of around 13 million euros, putting him on a ‘long-term’ contract.

The winger began his footballing career with Basel before spells with Bayern Munich and Inter, now becoming Liverpool’s third signing of the summer.

Following behind Naby Keita and Fabinho, Shaqiri’s arrival means Jurgen Klopp’s team have expended over 120m euros in signings with the season still a month away.
