President Muhammadu Buhari, who has spent over 100 days in London treating an undisclosed ailment, will return to the country today, August 19, Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina has announced.
In a statement made available to worldtopnewsng.com, he said Buhari is expected to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast by 7a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017.
Buhari had left the country on May 7, this year, after handing over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who has functioned as Acting President since then.
Adesina said Buhari thank all “Nigerians who have prayed ceaselessly for his recovery and well-being since the beginning of the health challenge.”
While in London, Mr. Buhari had played host to members of his APC party, 6 governors including 2 from the PDP, leaders of the National Assembly and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christain Church of God.
